If you've been a client for any length of time, you've probably heard us talk about the importance of maintaining a long-term perspective. That's because long-term thinking isn't just an investment principle. It's a planning principle.

Whether we're building a retirement plan, helping a family think through estate planning decisions, or managing an investment portfolio, our goal is to make thoughtful decisions today that improve outcomes years from now.

The decisions we help clients make today can impact their retirement, their families, and their financial future decades down the road. To serve clients well for the long term, we must be thinking about the future of Armor as well.

We don't build investment portfolios for the next quarter, and we aren't building Armor for the next quarter either. We're building it to serve clients and their families for decades to come.

One of the ways we do that is by investing in the future of our team. Many of you have already interacted with Keaton Ferrell and Jason White since they joined Armor in July, and we'd like to take a moment to help you get to know them a little better.

Meet Keaton

Keaton joined Armor after graduating from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, where he studied finance, specializing in wealth management. What attracted him to the profession wasn't simply an interest in investments. He was drawn to the relationship side of financial planning and the opportunity to understand what matters most to clients beyond the numbers on a spreadsheet. He believes every client has a unique story and set of goals, and that good planning begins with understanding both.

Outside of work, Keaton enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes. His current specialty is chicken parmesan, though we'll leave it to a future office gathering to determine whether that claim has been independently verified. Having recently relocated to Raleigh, he is enjoying exploring the area, from paddleboarding to evenings at Lake Johnson. He also enjoys hiking, playing pickleball, following college basketball and football, and listening to 90s country music.

Meet Jason

Jason joined Armor after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in Business and History. Though he came to the firm with hands-on experience in retirement plan and pension administration, he says the real appeal of wealth management has always been working directly with clients. His passion is building lasting relationships that ease financial stress and help people move confidently toward their long-term goals.

Outside of the office, Jason is a devoted Tar Heels fan with a special love for Carolina men's basketball. When he isn't cheering on the Heels, he enjoys studying Civil War history. He conducted original archival research at UNC and even took a five-day road trip last year with his father to visit ten Civil War battlefields. And when he's not watching Carolina or diving into history, you'll likely find him trying out new recipes in the kitchen, hiking, or playing pickleball with friends.

Looking Ahead

Our clients make decisions today that are intended to benefit themselves, their families, and future generations many years down the road. Adding talented young professionals to our team reflects that same philosophy. We're investing in the future of Armor today so that we can continue serving clients and their families for decades to come.

We're excited to have Keaton and Jason on the team, and we look forward to many of you getting to know them better in the years ahead.
